Rob,

Apologies – thought I had replied, but obviously the thought-transfer plugin not working ;-)

Subject: FAO Chris Little: Points Raised In Plenary Meeting

Chris,

Thanks for your input at the SDWIG plenary on Wednesday evening regarding my video-map idea.

I’d be grateful if you could let me know more details about some of the points you raised in the meeting:

1. You referred to an OGC geolocation format for emergency SMS as a possible data model for lat-long co-ordinates. Where can I find these details? I’m currently using a space separated pair, e.g. latLng = “51.48 0.00”, which is pretty succinct and (atomically) ensures that both co-ordinates are present, but there may be better alternatives. http://www.opengeospatial.org/standards/opengeosms

2. You mentioned a contact (Christine Perez?) in OGC working on augmented reality who may be able to offer some advice on directional camera support. How best can I contact her, and have I understood her interest correctly? https://www.perey.com/about-us/ and cperey@perey.com<mailto:cperey@perey.com> . She can point to any appropriate AR standards or contacts.

3. You identified a drone domain group with a forthcoming mission planning deliverable, which may overlap with my TV coverage use case in terms of safety zones around the drones. Who is the best point of contact to discuss a video-map use case for this? http://www.opengeospatial.org/projects/groups/uxsdwg and the co-chairs Don donald.v.sullivan@nasa.gov<mailto:donald.v.sullivan@nasa.gov>, Marcus marcus.alzona@keys.com<mailto:marcus.alzona@keys.com> and Robert LaudatiRLAUDATI@harris.com<mailto:RLAUDATI@harris.com>.

Any information you can offer would be most welcome, and many thanks for your time.

Rob Smith

P.S. Apologies for the public post. I tried to email you directly, but my message was rejected by your mail host for some reason.
