remaining problems with ssn

As various remaining github issues mean that I cannot process th4ese things through pull requests with risk of muddying the state even further, I want to propose a few changes that are very important to voting for the wd of ssn.

Now I have had a chance to adequately review the document and propose the following. NOTE that NONE of these are requesting changes to the document as it was in the "ready to review" state. All are corrections to stuff that happened since then.

1. That the layout of the DUL alignment and old SSN alignment be restored to the state is was last Monday and again just before Friday's meeting began. I believe this was twice clobbered accidentally. As of yesterday I am being asked to avoid pre/code bracketing of code and I will do what I can to progress that but it may be slower than I like as I don't know how to do this (Armin has offered to help) . In any case I am not prepared to support publication in the ugly state it is now with my name on it.

2. The last minute commenting out of a particular bit of text in the section about changes since 2006 - mentioning the change to ssn with sensor - that should stay.

3. The admission of some pr changes not ever discussed and done during the second plenary meeting --- can't recall what they even were now but they have to go.
