Re: Some more stuff about coordinate reference systems

Jon,

Coming in late to this one. It slipped by me.

This topic about the vertical came up at the last OGC CRS DWG meeting in Dublin. It was phrased slightly differently, "Is there ever a case where the height value is changed by the reprojection algorithm?" We could not get a consensus at the meeting. Not that I am saying Martin is incorrect at all. I just wonder if it is too much info of minor importance?

Just raising the question. I fear that at times we focus on too much detail in some areas while ignoring other more important topics for our audience.

Cheers,
