RE: [SDW] [SSN] Agenda for SSN telecon this week

Kerry, SSN editors -

I will be unable to attend the meeting this week again (family commitments).
In lieu I've taken a look at the current draft FPWD. I have the following comments about the Future Work list:

1. Does O&MLite/Prov-O alignment open up the possibility of adding the 'ActivityOfSensing' class to SSN? (And maybe re-considering the names of some classes.)

2. No mention of sampling/sampling features.

On the latter, in many practical applications an explicit treatment of sampling features is very useful in clarifying what is really going on. Spatial sampling features (sites, transects, flight-lines, cruises, cross-sections, images, pixels, plots, stations etc.) are widely used, and have common properties, even if the names are discipline specific. OGC O&M has a model for these which attempts to put a uniform vocabulary over the various disciplinary terms. This has been raised a number of times, and I added it to the Wiki in all the relevant places, but the word 'sampling' doesn't (yet) appear in the draft.
