Re: [SDW-WG] Introduction

Dear all,

My name is Linda, and my background is originally in literary science. During my studies I was interested in digital humanities (then a very small field) and became an XML specialist early on. I worked in ICT since the late nineties and moved to the geo-ict sector about 8 years ago. I've been working at Geonovum for about 6 years now. Geonovum is the dutch national standards body for geospatial standards. At OGC I'm active in the CityGML working group and am co-chair of the GeoSemantics DWG.

At Geonovum we have been running a linked data community for several years now. I'm co-chair of this as well. It's a very active and diverse group of scientists, public sector and private sector workers (not only from the geospatial sector), some interested in but new to linked data, others already very knowledgeable.

This is my first involvement in a W3C working group and I'm excited to get involved!

Dear all,

My name is Jari Reini, and I’ve been working in geospatial community about 20 years. I’m currently leading SDI Services department at National Land Survey of Finland. Related to standardization, I’m actively involved in OGC work and I am a Head of Delegation from Finland to ISO/TC211. My department, for example, is responsible of supporting our NSDI- and INSPIRE-work.

I haven’t been involved in W3C work, but looking forward to develop and see more geospatially enabled world.
