Introduction
The main purpose of the meeting is to discuss the accessibility issues raised by the emergence of virtual reality with a view to preparing a summary of our findings that can be delivered to the broader APA Working Group. At last week's meeting we identified three guiding themes warranting further investigation:

  1.  How to make Virtual Reality (VR) environments accessible, including the interplay of built-in accessibility features with the use of assistive technologies to achieve effective solutions.
  2.  The use of virtual assistive technologies (i.e., analogues of devices that would be used by a person with a disability in the physical environment) and how these should be supported by VR systems.
  3.  The potential of virtual environments to simulate relevant aspects of the experience of a person with a disability for training or other educational purposes, and how this functionality may be supported by VR systems.
