Just to clarify: all of the money raised is going to Yoav’s full-time work on adding the `picture` element to Blink (and hopefully WebKit as well, soon). As an independent contractor, this will allow one of the people that knows the element best to lead the implementation alongside the Blink team. This is effectively the community hiring Yoav so that we can see this not only implemented well, but quickly.

I’m a little curious about what you mean by “corrupt” where nobody is profiting from this but Yoav, who is being paid for services rendered. I have this sinking feeling that we’re not looking at an especially productive conversation here anyway, though.
