Effective Community Behavior

The list has been quiet for the past week, so this may be a good time to
 send this out, as it's not directed at anybody or any conversation that
we've been having.

The PURL/SIMILE websites provide a very good set of general guidelines
for communicating via a mailing list/IRC. Both RDFa mailing lists have
had a good track record of being kind and courteous places to learn and
ask questions. Most conflicts have been handled by community members in
a well-mannered, non-combative approach (thank you all for being nice on
both mailing lists!).

those joining an online community and communicating via a mailing list
