I will have to miss next weeks telecon. If the issue of language-tagged literals comes to a vote, I vote for Richard's 2b solution (rdf:TaggedLiteral is an anomalous datatype with lexical form "foo"@en and value <'foo', 'en'> , it does not have a legal L2V mapping, but it is a built-in datatype.
