Hello SPARQL WG

Axel,

Thanks very much for the warm welcome.

Hello everyone!

================================================
-- Role: W3C Representative for Algebraix Data Corporation

--Short Bio:
I have been in semantic technology for about 25 years and have
been applying semantic web technologies in an enterprise setting for the
last 10 years. Areas of application include generative process planning,
automated planning, risk management, model-driven architectures,
computational linguistics, ontological semantics, network security,
document classification/declassification, semantic search, provenance,
etc. I have a Ph.D. in industrial engineering from Texas A&M university.
I am the product manager for a new SPARQL implementation currently in
development that is based on a formal data algebra.

Previous experience in W3C groups
None. I am a member of the Semantics in Oil and Gas and Chemicals group.

Experience with SPARQL
I have been working with SPARQL (my favorite query language) for several years and have also given
tutorials on SPARQL. I am making the transition from SPARQL user to
SPARQL implementor and having to really understand the SPARQL standards.

--What I expect to get out of this group
Insights into the rationale for existing features in SPARQL and the
opportunity to participate in the development of future SPARQL standards
releases.

--What I expect to contribute
My time and expertise as a SPARQL user and SPARQL implementor for the greater good of SPARQL.

Best regards,
Arthur

Hi Arthur,

apologies for not recognizing you immediately on the Telco today.
First, a warm welcome to the group.

In the beginning of the group, we had the common practice that new
members
were writing a brief self-introduction to the group mailing list, see
examples here
if you wish to do so as well:
http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-rdf-dawg/2009JanMar/0003.html

Looking forward to hearing you around from now on in the future TelCos.

Also, if you have any questions, don't hesitate to contact us or send
a mail
to the group.

best,
Axel
