ACTION: DanC to add http://www.w3.org/TR/2004/WD-rdf-sparql-XMLres-20041221/ to reading list

DanC said that he expects storytelling around protocol at F2F4

Its undecided how to what functions and operators to include, options are pick
and choose (menu choice) or bulk import

Janne asked if it is OK for press to turn up after day 1 of F2F4
DanC said that press releases should be check with w3t-pr@w3.org

ACTION DanC: put Janne in touch with w3t-pr re press at ftf4

3. FTF5

Porposed date is 2005-02-28 - 2005-03-01, no objects
DaveB probably has regrets for FTF5

4. XML result set spec publication

ACTION: DaveB to post announcement about XML result set on appropraite mailing
lists

ACTION DanC: ask Liam, via SemWeb CG, which XML groups might be interested in
SPARQL result set WD

SimonR's action on alternaive unbound results is withdrawn

There was some discussion about the ordering of result columns (values with a
result set), which is currently undefined. ericP and SteveH expressed a
preference for the order they appear in SELECT.

Options include query order, lexical, arbitrary

ACTION: DaveB discuss options for column ordering and pick one

5. Protocol spec publication

ACTION: EricP/KendallC to publish "SPARQL Protocol for RDF" pending approval
from TomA and AndyS

AndyS has approved this
DanC noted that there are some URIs that dont follow the namespace policies

will be based on index.html,v 1.1 2004/12/17 17:33:45
DaveB asked ericP to post a link to the modified 1.1 before publishing

6. Services / DawgShows

http://esw.w3.org/topic/DawgShows

7. Disjunction

EricP migrated some Algae UnionDisjunciton test cases
http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-rdf-dawg/2004OctDec/0464.html

DanC noted that the issues list should link to "Proposal to drop disjunction
requirement"
http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-rdf-dawg/2004JulSep/0604.html

Current words about disjunction are near
http://www.w3.org/2001/sw/DataAccess/rq23/#alternatives

A strawpoll was conducted as to wether to drop section 6 (More Pattern
Matching # Alternatives) or keep it.
2 were in favour of dropping it, 2 of keeping it, others were undecided.

DanC will add some of the open issues to
http://www.w3.org/2002/09/wbs/35463/issues-ftf4/

ACTION: JanneS propose text for hard failure in the protocol draft

ACTION: DanC suggest formal definitions for SOURCE

Janne is working on a SRARQL driver for JDBC - SPARQL4J
http://www.sourceforge.net/projects/sparql4j/

http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-rdf-dawg/2004OctDec/0421.html
represnts daves current preferred solution to source

AndyS indicated that that's what rq23 specifies too

http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-rdf-dawg/2005JanMar/0014.html

DanC: patent policy says that if you have any patents that are essential to
the practice to this sepc. and you dont want to give a royalty-free licence to
the world you have to note it in the call for exclusions
