Follow up questions:

1) In the Direct Mapping are there cases where join tables would be
automatically collapsed and therefore the triple that hints at the presence
of NULL columns would be missing?

2) What are the practical considerations of querying for a missing triple vs
querying for an explicit NULL value in a triple?
