Let me put my two cents in ... When we ran the XG there was a requirement for a dead simple, automatic mapping that would suffice for many purposes. You only had to press a button and the mapping would be generated. If I remember correctly, Soeren argued for this and its a pretty good usecase. But, clearly, there is a related usecase. You create the direct mapping and it works but does not quite do what you want. For this usecase, it would be good if the DM also generated the R2RML statements for the mapping it created so that users could tailor them and get the mapping they want. -- All the best, Ashok
