Thank you for your comment. We have raised a formal issue, ISSUE-68, that will now allow the RDB2RDF WG members to consider the proposed shortcut: http://www.w3.org/2001/sw/rdb2rdf/track/issues/68

Please note that comments addressing the question as to why this shortcut was not included in the Last Call Working Draft has been discussed in the RDB2RDF WG email list: public-rdb2rdf-wg@w3.org.
