I don't see a perfect solution to this but I like your suggestion the best
(Comment 1) - it will certainly be easier to implement that way.  It will still
need to specify that when multiple entries have the *same key* the entry from
the last map in the input sequence is used.  This is relevant if there are
numeric keys.

By the way, while searching for "same key" occurrences in FNO, I noticed the
reference for map:put isn't hyperlinked like the others.
