After the solution in bug 24726 this bug became dependent on it and was
apparently, in the light of resolving bug 24726, reverted (it reintroduced
map:put).

Since the text "Bug24999: Correct an example which used the non-existent
function map:put." is still in the spec and is now moot, I am reopening it. I
think that text should be removed from the changelog, or updated, to prevent
confusion after publication.
