Gary, In looking at the pictures from the web site which you enclosed, the boat does appear to have the bronze Ryder plaque to which Clark is referring. Just beneath the tiller as mentioned. Your hull number : CERSC0251176 , stands for CERyder Southern Cross hull number 25 made in nov 1976. In the 1983 owners directory it was listed as having a port city of Michigan City Indiana, Named : Delfin and owned by Arthur Strand of Boilingbrook, IL. Perhaps I was not clear in my first response but I do not beleive you can tell by the hull number if a boat was factory finished or not. My boat and two others which I have examined( both at my marina) were not factory finished and have CERSC numbers. Nothing I have in any of my litature or have seen refers in anyway to stage one boats being gilmers, in fact everything I have states just the opposite. If this distintion took place at all it must have been well into the 1980's. Factory completed boats have a very distintive interior and are very similar to each other, where as owner completion boats are just that and probably will be more unique and one of a kind. As it was possible to buy the kit from Ryder to build the factory interior this might make even that hard to determine.
