If I understand you correctly, you are saying that, for example, the value of
an attribute known only to be of (static) type xs:anySimpleType (through
validation or construction) would be represented by a value whose (dynamic)
type is xs:untypedAtomic.  Since xs:untypedAtomic is a subtype of
xs:anySimpleType the type system works correctly.
