Dear XQuery/XSLT WGs, Please note that the reference to the Character Model in http://www.w3.org/TR/2004/WD-xslt-xquery-serialization-20040723/ is very out of date. The Character Model has since been split into 2 published parts (and soon to be 3). Please note also that you are normatively referencing a document which is still a Working Draft. In particular, we still envisage possible modifications to the Normalization document, which I think is one of your main reference points. Finally, we feel that you should also reference Unicode UAX#15 directly.
