Michael,

I wanted to put on record that I thought (and think) that it would be
better for the line endings to be automatically normalised, and to
suggest a change in the example if they were not going to be normalised.

However I am happy to leave this to the WG and your editorial
discretion and formally you can consider this thread closed.
