initial steps fn:root(self::node()) treat as
document-node()/descendant-or-self::node().": 

Please reword to make clear that it need to be followed by relative path
expression and that it extends to fn:root(self::node()) treat as
document-node()/descendant-or-self::node()/ (note the final /).
