RE: https urls for feed validation service should be valid

Hi,

Thanks for replying. Is it better if I comment/discuss directly on the sourceforge bug?

To reply here, I definitely agree with the discussion that it's a narrow interpretation of the spec. However, I'd also add that:

* <itunes:image> isn't even a tag mentioned in the spec, so why does it need to conform to enclosure rules, even if those are interpreted narrowly
* In the feed, we do have an https url in <image><url>https://media2.wnyc.org/i/0/40/80/1/NoteToSelf_1400X1400.png</url>...
  though as you mention, it's not complaining about that one, probably due to RSS spec comments saying that RSS 2.0+ allows for https:// schema:

It is complaining about
<itunes:image
 href="https://media2.wnyc.org/i/1400/1400/l/80/1/NoteToSelf_1400X1400_iTunes_APt1EEz.png">
</itunes:image>

Dom,

I wonder if the code could be moved from
   http://dev.w3.org/cvsweb/2006/w3c-feedvalidator/
to https://github.com/w3c/w3c-feedvalidator/
