    Dear Advisory Committee Representative,

The voting period [1] for the Advisory Board election has closed. I am
pleased to announce that the Advisory Committee has elected the
following people to the Advisory Board (listed here in alphabetical
    order by family name):

Elika J Etemad aka fantasai (W3C Invited Expert)
       Charles McCathie Nevile (ConsenSys) *
       Avneesh Singh (DAISY Consortium)
       Eric Siow (Intel)
       Léonie Watson (TetraLogical)*
       Chris Wilson (Google)
       Judy (Hongru) Zhu (Alibaba)*

Many thanks to the 12 candidates, and to the 175 AC representatives who
    participated in the election.

An asterisk ("*") indicates the individual was re-elected. Six terms are
for two years, until 30 June 2021. One term is for one year, until 30
June 2020. Charles McCathie Nevile will serve the 1-year term, following
section 2.5.2 of the Process Document [2], to fill the vacated seat.

Continuing AB participants are: Jay (Junichi) Kishigami (NTT), Florian
Rivoal (W3C Invited Expert), Tzviya Siegman (Wiley), David Singer
(Apple).

For this selection, we used Single Transferable Vote (STV) [3] as voting
system, STV Meeks [4] as the Tabulation system, and OpenSTV 1.7 [5]
    performing the computation.

Many thanks for contributions to the AB to the departing participants,
Michael Champion (Microsoft) and Natasha Rooney (W3C Invited Expert),
    whose terms end this month.

Note: It is customary for all elected and current participants to attend
the first face-to-face meeting following the announcement of the
election results. The Advisory Board is having its next face-to-face
meeting on 17-19 June, in Amsterdam [6].

Individuals elected to the Advisory Board act in their personal
capacity, to serve the needs of the W3C membership as a whole, and the
Web community. Whether they are Member representatives or Invited
Experts, their activities in those roles are separate and distinct from
their activities on the Advisory Board. The Advisory Board participants
use their best judgment to find the best solutions for the Web, not just
for any particular network, technology, vendor, or user.

More information about the AB is available on its home page [7]. For
more information about election mechanics, see "How to Organize an AB or
TAG election" [8]. This announcement follows section 2.5.2 [2] of the
    W3C Process Document.
