I have joined the group, mainly for observation purpose for now. The email traffic is usually low in a new group, so this should be manageable.
We can work on appropriate arrangement for liaisons when the group gains momentum.

With regards
Avneesh

George,

Thank you. Good idea on the accessibility liaisons. I emailed a call for participation to the WAI IG and made a note to apprise the Publishing BG when the new CG gets one or more accessibility liaisons.

Best regards,

Adam

Dear Adam,

This CG sounds very interesting! Accessibility will be a very large component that this CG will need to address. I am overloaded right now, and yet I still want to be involved.

Perhaps it would be possible to let us know about one or more people who sign up that are already involved with accessibility issues and perhaps they can touch base with the accessibility task force.

Best

George

W3C Publishing Business Group,

A new W3C Community Group has launched: the Educational Exercises and Activities Community Group. The groupís mission is to develop standards for educational exercises and activities and to make recommendations with regard to other standards. The groupís Web page: https://www.w3.org/community/exercises-and-activities/ .

With respect to educational exercises and activities, a large number of scenarios are to be considered. Educational exercises and activities can be URL-addressable Web resources, resources in learning objects, resources in digital textbooks, and the items of quizzes and exams. Varieties of educational exercises of activities under discussion range from multiple choice questions to those having WebGL 3D graphics and mathematics handwriting recognition.

Educational exercises and activities can be made modular, portable and reusable.

I would like to invite you to join the group. In order to join the group, you will need a W3C account. To create a W3C account: https://www.w3.org/accounts/request . To join the group: https://www.w3.org/community/exercises-and-activities/join .

Best regards,

Adam Sobieski
