RE: possible regrets for BillM (and Daihei/Junichi?) for Friday's SC call

Hi,

I will try to join the call, but in a meeting and don’t know how long it will run. As soon as I am free I’ll join.

Best
George

If we have time, I would also like to talk for a few minutes on our PR strategy (I copy Karen, because she is the real expert). Especially I think we should use our means to talk about the 3.2 work more publicly…

Hi,

Do we have enough to build an agenda for next PBG call ?
* [EPUB Roadmap]: 72h call for consensus to all PBG members [closed]
* DPUB Summit in Berlin : more to say ?
* EPUBCheck funding : any news ?
* Updating of IDPF website to redirect to more up to date resources where needed : more to say ?
* Other task force reports[4]:
* [EXTERNAL_COORD] call for volunteers : any specific call ?
* [A11Y] Status of ISO standardization for a11y ? Specific call results :
* Option 1 (PAS): Creating W3C recommendations and then creating ISO/IEC standards via the PAS-submission procedure
* Option 2 (Normal process): Parallel development between W3C and ISO/IEC: W3C publishes a Community Group Note, and ISO/IEC publishes standards.
* Option 3 (Fast-track): Creating National Standards first (possibly after W3C publication) and then creating ISO/IEC standards via the fas-track procedure
* To be continued.
* [EPUB_REQS] : nothing new
* [BEST_PRACTICES] ?
It was also foreseen that a future PBG call would be on a proper time for Asia and Japan.
Isn’t it the good opportunity then, to share with people of this area what has been already discussed ?

Best,
Luc

Hi,

Our Friday PBG SC call (including prep for agenda/announcement of next Tues PBG call) could overlap with end of a late-starting dinner with Japanese publishing stakeholders on Friday night here in Tokyo. Maybe not since I believe the call time (11am ET = UTC 15h) is midnight in Japan but I don’t want to constrain the festivities. More importantly my ability to communicate may be impaired. So I will try to call in but hopefully someone else can lead the charge re: this call and apologies in advance if I don’t make it.
