RE: Start of Advisory Board Election - Call for Nominations

Hi, I don't have any context on optimum nomination process so I defer to Ivan.

BTW as I previously noted, I think we may have a better shot at getting someone from Publishing onto the AB after we have more regular members from publishing industry. I see no reason Rick shouldn't run and that DAISY and others shouldn't push his candidacy (and with a great talk in Beijing who knows? - no pressure Rick 😉 ) but I do think it's a long shot until we have more full members focused on Publishing so I recommend we all approach it from that perspective - worth trying and could happen, but if not Rick please don't take it personally!

I don't know, but I have asked Avneesh from DAISY and Charles from Benetech for support. I would try to get the DAISY communication team behind this.

Guidance on how to most effectively advocate for Rick would be helpful.

Best
George

Action item for next week’s steering committee call: Is it better to self-nominate, or have another AC rep nominate me?

Ivan? Bill?
