With that: I just learnt that the custom element portion of the WhatWG HTML Spec:

will be part of HTML 5.3, whose work will begin either at the end of this year, or the beginning of next. Ie, these features may become part of the HTML standard by the time we plan to finish our work.
[Jason] Is the text proposed for inclusion in HTML 5.3 to be based on the above document, rather than on the Custom elements draft from the W3C?
