How about some CSS like selector before the () ?

wasGeneratedBy[id](e, a, t, attrs)

wasGeneratedBy#id(e, a, t, attrs)


If nothing like that will do, I would suggest to simply move id to be
the very last argument. As it would be after {attrs} it should be easy
to to parse, even if you skip arguments before {attrs}:

wasGeneratedBy(e, a, {}, id)
