Data Privacy Legal Hackathon in NY|San Fran | London (this weekend)

Hello Privacy List,

The Data Privacy Legal Hackathon is this weekend and we (Open Notice Initiative, Legal Hackers, Customer Commons) are working on engineering a consent legal map for hack projects, sponsored by the Kantara CISWG. As well, we are looking to use this to create consent receipt architecture to address the personal control of data issues that are plaguing the internet. The consent receipt is intended to be a vehicle for trust frameworks and privacy instruments that people manage and use.

If you are interested in checking out the very cool projects that are involved please check out the hacker league website. https://www.hackerleague.org/hackathons/data-privacy-legal-hackathon

In addition, we are working with MIT Media Labs at this late stage to put together a multicast, cross location video cast system with wordpress and google hangouts. (a best effort approach) This means that you can come and see what is going on and even participate http://legalhackathon.net/

The results of the hackathon and the Open Notice Initiative projects will be compiled and reported on here. This may be of special interest to those on this list interested in notice, consent and personal data control.

Kind Regards,

Mark
