Tiny editorial tweak:

"If, however, the pointerdown event is cancelled during this interaction 
then the sequence of events would be"

mark pointerdown as <code> and add colon at the end

"If, however, the <code>pointerdown</code> event is cancelled during 
this interaction then the sequence of events would be:"
