Strange change to select role in current ARIA master

While doing other editing work, I just happened across the following 
change to the select role that I could not understand.

Select description from From 17 March 2014 includes:

Authors MUST ensure elements with role option are contained in an element 
using one of the non-abstract child roles of select, such as  combobox, 
listbox, menu, radiogroup, or tree.

The current master branch reads:

Authors must ensure elements with role tree.

I kind of wonder why we have a requirement for option included in the 
select description. Perhaps the entire sentence was supposed to have been 
deleted?
