Dear Web Payments Working Group, In light of the strong support and no objections to the proposal [1] to publish two Candidate Recommendations, the Chairs record a decision that the CfC proposal carries: "That the Web Payments Working Group request that the W3C Director approve publication of Payment Request API and Payment Method Identifiers as Candidate Recommendations." Many thanks to the Editors and congratulations to the Working Group. I will work with the Chairs and Editors to prepare the specification and transition request to the Director. Note: The W3C Marketing and Communications Team plans to issue a media advisory to accompany the publications.
