Since Oracle changed their position on this (see [1]) there is no longer any reason *not* to support float and double in OWL RL. For avoidance of doubt I put an item on this week's agenda so that we can record a formal resolution to this effect (or not). If you are interested in this issue please either attend the meeting or let the chairs know if you would like them to record a proxy vote on your behalf.
