Re: can we use lower case to start Top/Bottom role names?

It is the normal convention. The only possible motivation otherwise  
that I can come up with is that breaking the convention singles that  
these properties are "weird" and perhaps should be used with care.  
Pfft. I doubt that it's worth it or a good signal overall.
