It appears that the current WD of XML Schema 1.1 Part 2: Datatypes http://www.w3.org/TR/2006/WD-xmlschema11-2-20060217/ has changed the situation with respect to every value having a lexical version. However, it would be useful to get confirmation of this from the XML Schema WG, as it affects the relationship between RDF (and OWL ) datatypes and XML Schema datatypes. How do we go about sending an official query on this point? peter
