+1 on both point 1 and 2.

Although for point 2, the issue is not a poorly written / old SFU but an 
SFU that forwards all RRs (Receiver Reports) for a stream being 
broadcast to multiple parties back to the original sending party where 
the receiving party's RR's source IP is lost when it's forward to the 
original sender by the SFU. Your solution for point 2 remains +1 to me 
though.
