Brief notes about AthTech and Next Meetings

Hi all,

This is a reminder of the next meetings we will held. Since the
face-to-face meeting within TPAC is next week, we will continue the
conference call on 31st October, same time (09.00 UTC/UK, 10.00 CET

You will receive a calendar update.

Last week, during the AthTech Conference [1], apart from presenting the
work already done, we organised a specific OpenTrack session. There, some
relevant issues regarding the work within this group were raised. So there
were some proposals that I wanted to highlight:

1) 'OpenTrack' naming is confusing. Proposal: change name of vocabulary to
'Open Athletics'. The community group will continue as is it but I would
announce it and clarify the change.
2) By the end of this year, we will have a solid version of, at least,
calendar, athletes and organisation (federations, clubs) vocabularies
3) I'm developing some examples to illustrate how it works.
4) Other vocabularies, such as detailed venues (i.e., track and field
stadiums) may be added as a natural extension.
5) We are currently collecting samples of information to test them against
the model.
