Meeting 25 Oct and simplification of the model

Hi all,

Finally, I can make tomorrow's meeting, my talk was cancelled. So, the
meeting is scheduled on Wed 25 October, 08:00 UTC (See other locations[1]).
Dial in details at the bottom.

Do you have anything specific to discuss?

Aiming at having realistic examples and getting people involved, I would
like to propose a simplification of the model. More adequate to the data
providers. At least, the AthTech attendees who wanted to be involved.

After the F2F meeting in Castro Marim (PT) I would like to propose a
simplification of the model. Instead of being too ambitious and complete, I
propose trimming and simplifying classes and properties of the model. This
will allow us to get successful implementations and several proof of
concepts before the end of year. The extensive work done up to date can be
preserved and released in a second version (we still are in the scope of
the group).

The proposal is simplify competitions (just competitions and events, like
Reportlab's tool uses), being focused on:
* athletes, orgs. (exactly the same we have)
* venues,
* competitions (scheduling aspect proposed by Nicolas)
* competition management (events, super-events, sub-events)
* results of competitions

[We would trim all the details of field events, just focused on results]
[We would trim also the subclasses of competitions]

Would this be more realistic? Please, find attached the simplification of
the model.

What do you think?
