  I think I sort of agree with you. I can confirm that your intuition 
partially overlaps with mine in the sense that the relation between 
ontology and lexica is an m:n relation, of course.

I also agree on the importance of a binding lexicon (as some sort of 
void:LinkSet, as discussed today). I think this is important for cases 
where one does neither own the lexicon nor the ontology, but wants to 
relate both. John argued that this is not proper linked data. I am not 
sure. Still if this is the case, it is not that bad. Anyone could at 
least download the lexicon, the ontology and the binding file and 
exploit it in one RDF knowledge base. So from a practical point of view 
it is not that bad if it is not linked data. Most SW applications 
download data and integrate it into a local triple store anyway, for 
performance reasons.

I think what you are suggesting is a metadata property that links a 
lexicon to an ontology, i.e. two properties that say something like;

Property 1: this lexicon lex uses references from ontologies o1,o2,o3 ..
Property 2: this ontology has lexicalizations in datasets dat1, dat2, dat3

I am fine with these properties.

What becomes possible is that in a binding lexicon I refer to lexical 
entries and senses in an existing lexicon and add "reference" properties 
to a given (or many) ontologies. Fair enough. We would then add a number 
of Property 1 statements linking to the ontologies.

If the mappings are useful, then the owner of the ontologies or of the 
lexicon might add the metadata properties Property1 and Property2 later 
on, thus turning the whole thing into proper "linked" data, by which the 
datasets become properly connected.

Is this your intution? I hope I got it right.
