I support the idea of proposing ODRL to schema.org and I would like to add from our IPTC experience that we should not expect too much from schema.org in adding rights related metadata. Currently the CreativeWork class - http://schema.org/CreativeWork - has a copyrightHolder and a copyrightYear but nothing for usage terms - not even for simple things like Creative Commons.
