Proposed W3C Charter: Decentralized Identifier Working Group

Good Day,



My name is Vincent Annunziato and I am the Director for the Business Transformation & Innovation Division which serves the Customs and Border Protection agency. I am reaching out as a show of support for the creation of the DID WG. CBP has been committed to supporting this specification in all of its work in the innovation space. This unique identifier would serve a number of very important roles for the agency as we need a clear way to identify corporate as well as individual entities publicly with assurance that that identity will remain unique and protected.



We will continue to follow this group closely as we are already implementing the DID into all of our proof of concepts and projects that will move forward into production.
