I also note that browser vendors are notably absent - which should already ring alarm bells. If the w3c wants to see browser vendor participation in this effort, than mentioning EXI and Linked Data is not a good way to go about it. I'm all for exploring use cases, but really don't want this effort to be hijacked by failed formats and "semantic web" distractions.
