RE: Output-Example Cocomore

Hi.

If I remember correctly, we (Karl and I) discussed about this after the last changes in the specification related to the use of ITS in XHTML format where made in February, and the reason to use the HTML syntax was that, at the end, the contents are outputted in HTML5 pages from Drupal.

This way implies less transformations of the contents in the CMS/client side.

Cheers.

Not at all. its-* should be used in XHTML only if such XHTML file is going to be published and consumed by web browser. Otherwise it's better to stick to real XHTML:

 <http://www.w3.org/TR/its20/#xhtml5-markup> http://www.w3.org/TR/its20/#xhtml5-markup

"Note:

Please note that this section defines how to use ITS in XHTML content which is directly served to Web browsers. Such XHTML is very often sent with a wrong media type and parsed as HTML not as XML in Web browsers.

In such case it is more robust and safer to use HTML-like syntax for ITS metadata.

However when XHTML is not used as a delivery but rather as an exchange or storage format all XML features can be used in XHTML and it's advised to use XML syntax for ITS metadata."
