The OASIS XML Localisation Interchange File Format (XLIFF) TC [1]
members have recently approved a Committee Specification Draft (CSD) and
submitted this specification for 30-day public review:

XLIFF Version 2.0
Committee Specification Draft 01 / Public Review Draft 01
16 April 2013

Specification Overview:

This document defines version 2.0 of the XML Localisation Interchange
File Format (XLIFF). The purpose of this vocabulary is to store
localizable data and carry it from one step of the localization process
to the other, while allowing interoperability between tools.

TC Description:

Advancing a multi-lingual data exchange standard for localisation. XLIFF
TC currently works on the major new version of the XLIFF standard, XLIFF
2.0 that supersedes XLIFF 1.2 produced by the same TC. The 2.0 public
review release contains a core specification along with 8 modules with
advanced data and metadata exchange functionality in various areas such
translation candidates, size restrictions, formatting preview etc.

Public Review Period:

The public review starts 00:00 GMT on 29 April 2013 and ends 23:59 GMT
on 29 May 2013.

This is an open invitation to comment. OASIS solicits feedback from
potential users, developers and others, whether OASIS members or not,
for the sake of improving the interoperability and quality of its
technical work.
