Here is some additional information you may find useful:

VENUE
IMPORTANT NOTE: Please note that the venue announced prior to May 29 has been changed from Goldsmith Hall to the Chartered Accountants House, located directly across the street from the old venue. The address of the Chartered Accountants House is 47 Pearse St.

Parking in the area is quite limited, so please visit the call for participation (http://www.multilingualweb.eu/documents/dublin-workshop/dublin-cfp) for information on parking if you intend to drive.

DRESS
The workshop sessions are working meetings. Business attire is not required and casual dress is acceptable.

REGISTRATION DESK
The registration desk will be open from 08:00 each day for you to pick up badges and programs

LUNCHES & EVENING SOCIAL EVENTS
Lunch is provided each day at the O’Reilly Institute, located within easy walking distance of the Workshop venue. A map showing the location of the O'Reilly Institute and the Trinity Capital Hotel is included in the printed program.

The reception on Monday night at 19:00 at the Trinity Capital Hotel includes a light buffet dinner and vouchers for two drinks (including soft drinks, beer, and wine). There will be a cash bar for anyone desiring to purchase additional drinks. Please note that attendance is free of charge but requires pre-registration. If you want to attend but have not already notified us, please RSVP as soon as possible to Ms. Nieves Sande (nieves.sande@dfki.de).

The informal dinner on Tuesday night at 19:00 will be held in a private room at the Brazen Head (20 Lower Bridge Street). Attendees are responsible for their own charges. Most meals are in the €10-15 range, not including drinks. For those who wish to walk (about 20 minutes), we will organize a group leaving from the Chartered Accountants House at 18:30 that will stop at the Trinity Capital Hotel at 18:40 to pick up any attendees along the way. For those who do not wish to walk, or in the event of bad weather, we will assist in calling taxis and finding people to share rides. Taxis to and from the Brazen Head should run less than €15 each way.

IRC
During the MultilingualWeb workshop in Dublin we will have people summarizing the speaker presentations on an IRC channel. These notes will be available in real time, and will be made available later from the multilingualweb.eu site. This is particularly helpful for those at the workshop who are unable to hear the speakers, and those who struggle due to language difficulties. In addition people who could not make it to the workshop can also follow the gist of the discussions, since this will be available on an open channel.

In addition, you can *contribute* to the channel while it is running.

To access the IRC channel with an IRC client, join #mlwDub on irc.w3.org:6665

To access the IRC channel with a web client, go to http://irc.w3.org/. Select a short nickname and use #mlwDub as the channel. You will see the conversation taking place in the main part of the page. You can participate by typing in the white line at the bottom of the page. You can practice joining the channel before the workshop starts, if you like.

For an example of what you can expect in the IRC, you can see the (slightly cleaned up) IRC logs for the 2011 Pisa conference at http://www.w3.org/2011/04/04-mlw-minutes

TWITTER
You are encouraged to tweet your thoughts during the workshop. Please use the hashtag #mlwDub.
You can see tweets from the Pisa workshop at http://www.multilingualweb.eu/en/documents/pisa-workshop/social-media-links

FLICKR
If you take photos during the workshop and upload to Flickr, we suggest you use the mlwDub tag when you upload. We will then try to link to those photos from the multilingualweb.eu site.

If you make information available using other social media channels, feel free to let us know and we'll see if we can link to that too. We are also especially interested in tracking blog posts about the workshop.

In the event that you run into any difficulties, please contact Dominic Jones (Dominic.Jones@cs.tcd.ie or +353 (0)87 925 9719) or Arle Lommel (arle.lommel@dfki.de).
