Web Annotations

Hi all,

Happy to join this group and excited to engage in this space with all of
you!.

I was curious if anyone here had looked at or thought about using something
like Web Annotations[1] as part of the solution here.  It's not an exact
mapping to their use case, but the concept (identifying that <this> piece
of Web content is <about> this other thing -- in this case the "other
thing" being point in the physical world) seems spot-on.  The data model
seems pretty flexible so I'm wondering if it doesn't make sense to see if
it's possible to leverage this in some way.

I'd love to hear anyone's thoughts about this.
