I agree this is both a bad idea and incorrectly worded.
I do not officially speak for anyone but myself.   But I do feel it useful to mention the comments I have heard from discussions from many people.   I am not actually speaking "for them" but rather trying to convey (admittedly badly) that there is many things being left unsaid that this group might be interested in knowing rather than assuming silence means agreement.

I guess my main point which I will now try to conclude commenting on is that there is a definite impression to me that the blind are touching the elephant all confidently saying to each other "I know exactly what this is".

But I agree debating this destructively is not constructive.  So I shall attempt to proceed with constructive suggestions .
