Hmmm, so (i) either we use commas, too, or (ii) ask them to approve
use of ampersands. I'm fine with either option. (i) seems like the
easier option. (ii) seems like the more long-term-ish option. There
are still the folks who like to see semicolons as separators [1],
which raises yet another option (iii).
