  You're right about pausing.  I had that in mind during the write-up,
but I guess that I need to make it clearer.  Let's see what other
comments I get, and then I'll prepare another version.

thanks. This looks like a good start to me. One thing I came to think
of: if the user pauses the playout, when un-pausing I guess the playout
should start at the current time (not from the paused position).
