Here is a wish expressed to tighten up the spec related to device enumeration, acquiring permissions and UI. However, the discussion (happening here and on the list) does not converge to this being a spec issue (people are rather pointing at implementation issues). Further, the only concrete proposal brought forward ( #45 ) regarding a spec update was not seen as solving this issue. Therefore I'm closing this issue.
